change it just to "check" the old one. Sure enough, it was fine, no gasket sealer covering the little pin (which goes on top) and then we replaced it with a brand new one. No change. Also, you should never have to drill out the thermostat. There's big reasons not to as well (as Jack said below on a different level). Always keep it in tact and get a Nismo if anyone needs it to run cooler. My problem is it wont flow back in...shouldn't be a thermostat problem realistically. Water pump maybe...as it could have too little power to pull it back (but we checked/changed that too...perfect). Oh well!
